Excellent Breakast in the Crown Hotel, and then a walk around the High Street which was bustling due to a Farmers Market, Craft & Art Fairs and Christmas Entertainment.
Also saw Day 3 of the Shop Advent calendar being opened at the Blue Rooms.
Nice warming gingerbread latte at Costa, Sandbach Services South on the M6, while watching what looks like a drug bust as 3 cars block the white van and its asian driver. Bags of white stuff are placed from the van and onto the unmarked police cars bonnet.
Drugs bust or maybe sherbet dips ?
After taking the eldest granddaughter off Mums hands for the day we ventured to the local National Trust, Quarry Bank Mill, and then we stopped in at the Manchester Airport Viewing Park on the way home.
We were just about to leave at 17:20 when a First Choice Airbus A-321 (Registration G-OOPE) landed and began to taxi. Suddenly fire tenders arrived from both sides of the Airport surrounding the Aircraft, and landing aircraft could be seen to aborting their landings and flying-by as all movements at the airport stopped.
Nothing seemed untoward with the aircraft and after only a few minutes and a seemingly all clear by the fire service, most of the tenders left and movements started again.
The Airbus then began to move again followed by one tender to the terminal.
Havent been able to find the reason for the emergency anywhere - do you know what it was ?
Sunday 14th August I took my Son Joshua and two of his friends Quad Biking at Eel Pie Farm up in Retford, on Markham Moor. the event was an 18th Birthday Present (His birthday was in February but being a busy teenage student, he only just got round to booking it ! )
Took us 4 hours to get there and back, for 1 hours biking but hey all seemed to enjoy it but i'm sure would have liked to have put the foot down on the accelerator.
My only wish was to have had a go instead of taking the pictures ;-)
